Atlas of Rheumatology

May 17th, 2010

Product Description

Atlas of Rheumatology will become the best-illustrated book (and electronic interface) ever published on the rheumatic diseases. Premier clinicians in each area of rheumatology will provide illustrations related to their subject of expertise. The chapters in The Atlas will correspond closely with those in The Primer and A Clinician’s Pearls & Myths.

The book will provide a trove of clinical illustrations to the trainee and the practicing physician, and will do so in a memorable fashion. Each figure will illustrate one (and usually more than one) important clinical lesson. Each figure will be provided with a clear, appropriate legend that expresses the figure’s lessons and extrapolates the findings to support a broader frame of knowledge.

Each chapter will be illustrated thoroughly with clinical photographs and radiologic images. These figures will be different from ones included in the The Primer and A Clinician’s Pearls & Myths. These books can be cross-referenced extensively in The Atlas.

The contributors for each chapter of the new book will be selected from the authors of The Primer and A Clinician’s Pearls & Myths. However, some authors may be replaced or supplemented by the inclusion of co-authors.

Atlas of Psoriatic Arthritis

May 16th, 2010

Product Description

This comprehensive visual reference contains over 150 images from a wide gamut of variations of the disease, as well as charts and tables detailing the most up-to-date information on patient susceptibility, incidence, and symptoms, providing the clinical presentation of the disease, as well as radiographic, ultrasound, and MRI images to highlight the role of imaging in psoriatic arthritis. Although several proposed methods for classifying PsA have been published, none has been widely accepted or validated. This book proposes the use of an amended version of the Moll and Wright method, and functions mostly as a visual reference and data source of the most up-to-date findings and comprehensive images of PsA. The book includes sections on juvenile psoriatic arthritis which aid practitioners in distinguishing the characteristics and features of the disease in children, as well as discussions of clinical drug trials.

The book will be of particular interest to rheumatologists, dermatologists, and family practitioners.
