The 7 th edition of Modern Dental Assisting will continue to provide comprehensive coverage of the clinical and administrative role of the dental assistant. The new edition has been extensively revised with a new chapter organization and new full-color design.
The text is reorganized and divided into 11 sections. Each section opens with an explanation of the accreditation standards so students recognize up front what they are expected to learn and why in the upcoming chapters. Almost all line drawings are now in full-color; clinical photos are all in full-color.
A free CD-ROM in each book includes case studies, radiographic mounting exercises, charting exercise, games, and a dictionary. The CD-ROM with this new edition also includes new video clips of several procedures that are explained in the book.
The ancillary package to the seventh edition is also completely reworked. The student study guide features a variety of useful exercises that have been selected based on customer input. All questions directly relate to information covered in the text. There will be 50 tear-out flashcards to help students better learn difficult concepts. New to this edition is an awesome instructor’s electronic resource that will meet all of the instructor’s needs. It includes power point lecture notes with images from the text, a 1000-question test bank, case studies, additional resources, and video clips of some procedures from the text.
